It all began as a dream for Andy Tiedt, who sat watching his older brothers Chris and Mark play the game from the sidelines.  Chris and Mark gave him inspiration, which has ultimately made him the player he is today. 

Andy began his career in Akron at the age of eight (8) playing under the direction of his father Bob Tiedt, who has been a coach for Akron for the past fifteen (15) years.  In previous seasons Andy has managed to bring two (2) league championships and over five (5) tournament championships to Akron, thee (3) of which have been Akron’s own Kick It First.  

The winter season brings a lot of cold weather along with snow, teams travel in-doors.  The Akron Girls elementary squad, coached by Robin Apholz traveled to the YMCA in Medina where they took first place overall in their division.  They were able to defeat Attica, Pembroke, Holley and YMCA. The akron Soccer League would just like to say good job to these girls!
